ALFRED DONATH
Our friend, Alfred Donath
passed away in June, 2010. Medical Doctor, Alfred was the chief of the
Nuclear
Medicine Service in the Geneva Hospital until 2004. He was at the
initiative of the building of one of the
first PET scanner in Europe. This was done in cooperation with CERN.
After that he obtained the installation
of a cyclotron inside the hospital with all the equipment needed to
produce radiotracers.
Since the beginning of the Archamps project, Alfred encouraged the
setting up of the EUROPEAN SCIENTIFIC
INSTITUTE with its European School of Medical Physics. Alfred Donath
was since 1995 member of the
Administrative Council of the Institute and School. We deeply miss a
friend with his kindness and disponibility !
